Windows and Skylights

Yes. Vanlook windows carry ECE R43 approval, the European regulation governing vehicle glazing. It is a reliable benchmark of quality and safety when converting your van or motorhome with dependable components.

Yes. Every Vanlook hinged window integrates a blackout blind and fly screen in the frame itself. You can leave the window open for ventilation without letting insects in, and black out the interior completely for sleep or privacy at night.

Installation involves cutting the vehicle's bodywork precisely and sealing it correctly to ensure it is watertight. If you have conversion experience it can be done, but otherwise we recommend entrusting the fitting to a professional for a flawless, long-lasting result.

Combining a hinged window with a skylight creates an airflow that draws out heat and moisture. The 400x400 and 280x280 mm Vent skylights add a 12 V fan to refresh the air actively, which is key to sleeping well in summer.

The 700x500 mm SKYPRO skylight offers the largest surface: it floods the interior with natural light and its double glazing provides watertightness and security. It also features LED lighting, so it gives you ambient light at night as well.

Yes. The double glazing on Vanlook windows already improves insulation, but real comfort comes from insulating the walls and roof too. Pairing them with Braguscamp's Vanflex thermal insulation helps keep a more stable temperature in summer and winter.

Vanlook hinged windows come in 500x450, 700x400, 900x350, 900x450, 1100x450 and 1200x500 mm. The maximum size is set by the space between the body's reinforcing ribs, so measure it before choosing. Large windows are ideal next to the living area or the bed, where they bring light and views; always leave a margin for the frame.

Yes. The more compact sizes, such as 500x450 mm or 900x350 mm, fit well in the kitchen area, where they help clear steam and odours, or in the rear doors, where the space between ribs is narrower. Carefully measure the flat surface available and take mechanisms, locks and internal reinforcements into account before marking the cut.

The 400x400 and 280x280 mm Vent skylights include a fan that runs on 12 V, so they connect to the campervan's electrical system, usually to the leisure battery via a fuse. This lets you actively refresh the air even with the vehicle closed and without running the engine, for example overnight or while cooking.

The acrylic double glazing on Vanlook windows creates an air gap that improves thermal and acoustic insulation compared with single glazing, so the interior stays more stable and quieter. Acrylic is also lighter than glass, which helps with payload, and its UV resistance helps it keep its clarity over time.

Yes, as long as the installation is done correctly: the cut must be precise and the seal continuous around the whole perimeter. That is why we recommend professional installation. Check the condition of the seals and sealant from time to time, especially after harsh winters or trips on rough tracks, and close the hinged windows before driving or if heavy rain is forecast.

Use lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid alcohol, solvents, ammonia-based glass cleaners and abrasive sponges, because acrylic scratches easily and can lose its clarity. Rinse off dust and sand first with plenty of water so you do not drag them across the surface. Clean the mosquito net occasionally with a soft brush too.

On roofs with little space between ribs, the 280x280 mm Vent is the most compact and provides active ventilation with its 12 V fan. The 400x400 mm Vent offers a larger opening with the same function. The 700x500 mm SKYPRO brings in the most light but needs a large space. Measure the roof before deciding.

It is best to mark and cut the openings for windows and skylights before insulating, then fit the insulation around the frames, always before lining the interior. This avoids undoing finished work and gives a clean result. Combining Vanlook windows with Vanflex insulation noticeably improves the thermal comfort of the whole conversion.
