8 kW portable diesel heater for rooftop tents, campers and vans
This portable diesel heater packs everything you need into a compact case: an 8 kW burner with aluminium heat exchanger, a 6 L diesel tank, a quiet fuel pump, an LCD display and the control electronics. Nothing needs to be installed in your vehicle: put it on the ground, connect the hot-air duct and switch it on.
It is designed for people who sleep in a rooftop tent, camper or van and want steady, dry heat without relying on mains power. The air being heated and the combustion air travel through separate circuits: only clean, warm air reaches your tent, while the exhaust gases leave through the exhaust pipe outdoors.
You can power it from your vehicle's 12 V battery, from a 230 V socket with the included adapter, or from a portable power station. Control it from the display, the remote or your phone via Bluetooth, with thermostat, weekly timer and ventilation mode.

How to connect it to a rooftop tent
The heater always stays outside the tent, on the ground. Only the hot-air duct goes in through the rooftop tent's side port, so there is no combustion and no fumes inside. The included connection manual walks you through it step by step.
- Place the heater on the ground, level and stable, under the tent and as close as possible to the side port.
- Fit the exhaust with the silencer and heat sleeve, pointing outwards and away from the tent, windows and air intake.
- Connect the 76 mm hot-air duct to the heater outlet and secure it with a clamp.
- Pass the other end through the tent's side port and tighten the port's drawstring or Velcro around the duct.
- Plug in the power (12 V, 230 V or power station), switch on and set the temperature on the display, remote or app.

Power: 12 V battery, 230 V socket or power station
Vehicle 12 V battery
With the included battery cable. While running it draws about 3 A (36 W); at start-up, about 13 A for the first few minutes. For full nights with the engine off, we recommend an auxiliary battery, such as a LiFePO4 battery, so you don't drain your starter battery.
230 V socket
With the included AC/DC adapter (110–240 V). Perfect at campsites with hook-up, in the garage, workshop or at home.
Portable power station
Plug the 230 V adapter into the station's AC output (at least 300 W). An 8-hour night needs about 300–370 Wh: a station of around 1,000 Wh gives you 2–3 nights.
Diesel and electricity consumption
Consumption depends on the selected power level and the outside temperature. These are guideline figures:
| Minimum power | Maximum power | |
|---|---|---|
| Diesel per hour | 0.16 L/h | 0.45 L/h |
| Diesel per night (8 h) | ≈ 1.3 L | ≈ 3.6 L |
| Runtime on the 6 L tank | ≈ 37 h | ≈ 13 h |
| Electricity while running (12 V) | ≈ 36 W (3 A) | ≈ 36 W (3 A) |
| Electricity per night (8 h) | ≈ 300 Wh | ≈ 300 Wh |
Use diesel fuel only. Do not use petrol or other fuels. Start-up and shut-down draw more current for a few minutes while the glow plug heats up and the unit cools down.
Smart control and functions
- Automatic thermostat: choose the temperature (8–35 °C) and the heater starts and stops by itself to maintain it.
- 10 power levels and turbo mode for faster heating.
- Weekly timer: schedule it to switch on so you wake up in a warm tent.
- Ventilation mode: moves air without heating to refresh the space.
- Cleaning mode: clears combustion residue from the chamber.
- Automatic altitude adjustment up to 5,500 m, with altitude shown on screen.
- Protections: overheating, short circuit, overvoltage, undervoltage and reverse polarity.
